If you are eager to make some pickles of your own, but do not know where to find some of the specialized supplies and ingredients, have no fear!  Most are not hard to find.  Canning jars and lids are often found at the grocery store.  Pickling salt and lime are harder to find, but are not absolutely neccessary.  Kosher salt can be substituted with adequate results.
