I cracked open my jar of Kruegermann Spicy Pickles last night and was pleasantly suprised!

When Kim and I were in England in 1995, I began to get a strong hankerin' for a pickle!  Unfortunately, they are not as easy to find there as they are here in America, although we did finally find some "Gherkins" as they call them in a small German market in Llangollen, Wales.  Anyway- the pickles we got in Wales were a packed in a sweet oniony brine that was OK but not my most favorite thing in the world, and when I saw these, I was afraid that they would be the same.   

However, these are quite good!  Yes they have a little bit of a sweetness, but they also have a nice kick which counteracts the sweetness perfectly.  They are also good and crisp :)  If you have a market near you that sells German style pickles, give these a try!
