While in Dallas visiting my family, my sister introduced me to another great store. I did not have my camera unfortunately. and thier website listed on the cups must be no longer operating. That's too bad because this was a beautiful little german place. It was very similar to one of my other favorites, Shreiners Fine Sausages in Glendale.
The outside was very non-descript, except for the chalet stlye archetecture. I don't even recall seeing a sign. It is nestled in a little parking lot in downtown Dallas, and once you go in there is a great little sit down restaurant where you can get simple German fare and German beer on tap, and also a nice little German supermarket with all kinds of sausages and meats! What caught my eye were the little strings of sausages hanging from thee rack behind the meat counter. Each came with 4 sausages- but I ate one in the car on the way home before I could take this photo.
they had them in 2 varieties: regular and jalepeno. I got a string of each. I liked the spicy jalepeno one better, but both were really good. The meat was drier in the jalepeno one as well. If you like slim jims, I think you will really LOVE landjager! And it was pretty cheap! I got 8 big sausasages for less than $4.
Next time we go to Dallas, I'll have to get some more pictures! Kubys is located at 6601 Snider Plaza -cris We're sorry. Due to rampant comment SPAM Only registered users can write comments. :( Powered by AkoComment 2.0! |
